CASE STUDIES

VICTORIAN SASH WINDOW

This window had suffered from years of neglect and the weather had taken its toll.
The sashes were removed and received glazing repairs and timber repairs before being draught proofed. The box frame received a new hardwood sill and inner sections. The window was then reassembled with new sash cord and draught proofed parting bead and staff bead.

GEORGIAN ATTIC WINDOW

One of the worst condition windows we have ever worked on! This attic window in a Georgian manor house was literally falling apart. The sashes were removed and recieved significant repairs before being draught proofed. What was left of the box frame received a new hardwood sill and inner and outer sections. This was then reassembled with full draughtproofing and new sash cord.

VICTORIAN BAY WINDOW

This upstairs bay window was in good order apart from this end window which had suffered many years of a leaky gutter above. The bottom rail of the lower sash was very rotten, as was the box frame. The sashes were removed and the lower sash received a new redwood bottom rail before being draught proofed. The box frame was fitted with a new hardwood sill and inner sections before the window was reassembled with new sash cord and new staff and parting bead.

1970'S BAY WINDOW

This 1970's double glazed bay window had suffered water ingress into the corner of the outer sill. A new custom section was made on site and spliced in to replace the rotten section
